With over two decades of national and international business experience and a background in engineering, José’s expertise extends across various channels, including manufacturing, distribution, and retail. His professional reputation is a testament to his dedication to precision, integrity, and discipline. José identifies with the grit and hustle that drives every successful entrepreneur, and he not only strives to perform at a high-level but also seeks to surround himself with individuals who do the same.

In 2004, José began his career at Toyota Motor Sales in Los Angeles, California, later moving to the New York area for nine years, holding various sales, service, and managerial positions in cities across the East Coast. Then in 2014, Jose transitioned to Automobili Lamborghini America, the renowned Italian sports car manufacturer, where he was responsible for Customer Service Operations for North America. In 2017, Jose returned home to continue his career with Subaru of America.

It was at this time that José turned his attention to his own business ventures, launching The Chicago Donut Company. Then, leaving the corporate world behind entirely in 2023, José and a few friends acquired The Coffee Shop Oak Park in early 2024 with plans to start roasting coffee by year-end.

When José is not slinging donuts out of his food truck or brewing coffee in the shop, he dedicates his time to teaching and training in Mixed Martial Arts and Krav Maga.
